Electrify America has opened its largest charging station to date in Orlando, Florida, featuring 24 DC fast chargers capable of delivering up to 350 kW each.
The station is located at the Sand Lake Corners South shopping center on South John Young Parkway. Its location provides access to major destinations and transport routes, including Interstate 4, Orlando International Airport, Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.
The shopping-centre setting also gives drivers access to food outlets and retail services while their vehicles charge.
24 Chargers Expand Orlando Charging Capacity
With 24 high-power charging points at a single location, the new site is designed to accommodate more drivers at a time, including local EV owners and visitors travelling through Orlando.
All chargers at Sand Lake Corners South use the Combined Charging System (CCS) connector. The site does not currently offer the North American Charging Standard (NACS) connector.
Electrify America has been testing NACS connectors at selected locations, including a separate station at the Florida Mall in Orlando. Drivers can check connector availability through the company’s mobile app before arriving.
Florida Remains a Major EV Market
Florida provides a significant market for expanded charging infrastructure. According to the US Department of Energy’s Alternative Fuels Data Center, the state had approximately 450,400 registered battery-electric vehicles in 2025, ranking second nationally behind California.
The figure counts fully electric vehicles separately from plug-in hybrids, highlighting the scale of Florida’s battery-electric vehicle fleet.
Electrify America says it now operates more than 350 chargers across over 60 stations in Florida, adding capacity as EV adoption and demand for public charging continue to grow.
Another Orlando Station Planned
Electrify America is also preparing to open another Orlando charging location at 10226 Curry Ford Road. The planned site will feature 10 chargers and is expected to open in the coming months, although the company has not provided a specific opening date.
The new 24-charger station at Sand Lake Corners South represents a further expansion of Electrify America’s Florida network, offering drivers a larger high-power charging location near major travel and tourism destinations.
