Swedish freight technology company Einride and logistics provider PostNord AS have announced the expansion of their partnership in Norway, doubling the scale of their electric freight operations. The move marks a major step toward sustainable logistics in the region, with operations now spanning 1.3 million zero-emission kilometers annually across the Oslo area.
The collaboration builds on a successful initiative launched in 2023, which delivered significant emissions savings. The expanded operations are expected to double the volume of electrified freight transport, further reducing carbon output and enhancing efficiency. According to Einride, the partnership will continue to utilize its connected electric trucks alongside the Einride Saga AI platform — a digital tool designed to optimize logistics planning and improve operational performance.

“Norway continues to lead by example in the transition to electric transportation, and we’re proud to deepen our impact here together with a forward-thinking partner like PostNord,” said Roozbeh Charli, CEO of Einride. He emphasized that the company’s strategy is built around scalable partnerships that drive meaningful progress in freight electrification.
PostNord, which handles about 35% of all parcel deliveries in the Nordics, has committed to becoming entirely fossil-free by 2030. “Our partnership with Einride allows us to take meaningful strides toward sustainable and cost-efficient logistics,” said May-Kristin S. Willoch, Head of Environment & DPO at PostNord Norway. “With the expansion, a majority of our regional fleet in Norway is now fully electric.”
In a related milestone, Einride and PostNord achieved the world’s first cabless, electric, autonomous cross-border delivery in September 2025. Conducted as part of the EU co-funded MODI project, the trial demonstrated how autonomous freight transport can seamlessly integrate across borders and customs systems — underscoring both companies’ commitment to pioneering sustainable, data-driven logistics solutions.
