Einride has agreed to acquire charging software company Flipturn in an all-stock transaction, a deal that is expected to expand its charging infrastructure management capabilities for heavy-duty electric vehicles in North America.
The acquisition, which is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, is expected to be completed in July 2026. Einride said the transaction is valued at approximately $38.4 million.
Acquisition Expands Charging Network
Following completion of the deal, Flipturn’s customer portfolio, representing more than 250 megawatts of managed charging capacity, will be integrated into Einride’s operations.
According to Einride, the combined business is expected to manage what it describes as North America’s largest charging network dedicated to heavy-duty electric trucks.
The company said the transaction is intended to strengthen connections between available charging infrastructure and commercial fleets transitioning to battery-electric vehicles.
Software Platform to Add AI-Based Charging Management
Flipturn develops software that manages charging infrastructure for commercial electric vehicle fleets.
Its platform uses artificial intelligence to estimate charging schedules, optimize electricity distribution and adapt charging strategies based on vehicle usage and battery performance.
The software also supports charger monitoring, driver authentication, payment management and on-site charging controls.
Einride said the acquisition will enhance its technology platform by combining charging management, energy optimization and fleet operations within a single system.
Supports Freight Electrification Strategy
The acquisition forms part of Einride’s strategy to expand its electric freight operations in the United States.
“This acquisition is a decisive step in our U.S. scaling strategy. Flipturn will further strengthen Einride’s software layer for electric heavy-duty freight optimisation and improve our customer offering by adding more cost-efficient, more reliable, and accessible charging to our customers,” said Roozbeh Charli, chief executive officer of Einride.
“With Flipturn, Einride is expected to become the first company in the industry with a fully vertically integrated electric freight technology stack.”
Katie Siegel, co-founder and chief executive officer of Flipturn, said the company’s customers would continue using the existing platform following the transaction.

Einride also said its AI-powered logistics platform, Saga AI, has supported more than 19 million electric kilometers of freight operations worldwide.
