Dubai Set to Host UAE’s Premier Electric Scooter Race, Featuring the World’s Fastest E-Scooter

the Federation for Micromobility and Sport, in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council, has unveiled plans for the inaugural Dubai Electric Scooter Cup. This unique event, designed to highlight the potential of e-scooter racing and micromobility, will feature the world’s fastest electric race scooter, the RS-Zero DXB edition, capable of reaching speeds exceeding 140 kilometers per hour.

Scheduled to take place on December 16, 2023, the Dubai Electric Scooter Cup will serve as the culmination of the Year of Sustainability in the UAE. It promises to bring together the finest riders from around the world, who will compete on the streets of Dubai at speeds exceeding 100 kilometers per hour, all vying for the coveted title of the first-ever Dubai Electric Scooter Cup Champion.

Alex Wurz, President of the Federation for Micromobility and Sport, emphasized the organization’s commitment to advancing micromobility as both an exciting racing discipline and a sustainable urban mobility solution. He stated, “This cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council to host the first-ever Dubai Electric Scooter Cup aims to lead the way in safety, infrastructure, and technology development within the rapidly growing micromobility sector.”

H.E. Saeed Mohammed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, expressed his enthusiasm for this groundbreaking event in a city known for its pursuit of innovative mobility solutions.
