Stellantis-owned French automaker DS has opened orders for its newly updated DS 4, now rebranded as the DS N°4 and available for the first time as a fully electric vehicle. Deliveries of the compact sedan are set to begin in September in France and Germany, with pricing starting at €45,990.
Unveiled in May, the electric DS N°4 E-Tense debuts in the “Pallas” trim level with a list price of €46,900 and a leasing rate from €419 per month. That puts it just below its sibling model, the Peugeot e-408, which starts at €46,600 in France. The transition aligns with Stellantis’ broader electrification strategy, which has seen petrol variants dropped in favor of electric, plug-in hybrid, and full hybrid offerings.

The DS N°4 E-Tense features a 157 kW electric motor—shared with the E-3008 and E-5008—built by a Stellantis-Nidec joint venture. Power comes from a 58.2 kWh battery, offering an estimated WLTP range of 450 kilometers. The battery supports AC charging at up to 11 kW and DC fast charging at up to 120 kW, enabling a 20–80% charge in approximately 30 minutes.
The electric sedan measures 4.40 meters in length and offers 360 liters of boot space. It emphasizes premium styling and technology, with standard or optional features such as retractable door handles, large-diameter wheels, a redesigned light signature, and integrated ChatGPT artificial intelligence for its infotainment system. Upper trims, including “Étoile,” add amenities like ventilated massage seats and Matrix LED headlights.

Built at the Stellantis plant in Rüsselsheim, Germany, the DS N°4 will also be available as an upgraded plug-in hybrid and full hybrid. The PHEV now offers an electric range of up to 30 kilometers more than its predecessor, while the full hybrid delivers 107 kW of output. A vehicle-to-load (V2L) function for powering external devices is also included in the electric variant.
