Dongfeng Motor has officially entered the Tunisian market, launching three vehicle models as part of its strategic expansion in North Africa, the company announced on Wednesday.
The automaker unveiled the Shine, Shine Max HEV, and Box models at a launch event held in Tunis, the capital city of Tunisia.

During the event, Dongfeng Box received about 40 firm orders and more than 200 intent orders, underscoring strong initial demand for the brand’s vehicles in the new market. The move marks a significant step in Dongfeng’s efforts to grow its international presence and strengthen its foothold in Africa.
Separately, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor, a subsidiary of Dongfeng Motor, has completed container loading for the first batch of 192 knocked-down (KD) orders bound for its Egypt project.
The shipment is expected to arrive at Alexandria Port in early November. Construction of the local production line in Egypt is scheduled to be completed by the end of November, with vehicle assembly operations to follow shortly thereafter.

Looking ahead, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor plans to launch gasoline, hybrid, and pure electric vehicle models in Egypt by 2026, as part of its long-term strategy to introduce diversified and locally assembled products to the region.
