Dongfeng Honda, the joint venture between Honda and Dongfeng Motor, will launch the new Honda S7 on March 6, offering an optional smart driving system developed by Huawei, local media outlet Yiche reported on Monday.
The S7 SUV will come with two smart driving solutions: Honda’s Sensing 360+ and Huawei’s system, according to the report. The model will also feature a light field screen, co-developed by Honda and Huawei, which functions similarly to an augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD) for enhanced driver visibility.

Honda introduced its Ye brand in China in April 2024, targeting the electric vehicle (EV) market alongside its e:N and Lingxi brands. At the time, the automaker unveiled three models—Ye P7, Ye S7, and Ye GT—stating that the first two would launch by the end of 2024, while the Ye GT was slated for production in 2025. However, the Ye P7 and Ye S7 have yet to be officially released.
In January, local media outlet 36kr reported that Honda was exploring cooperation with Huawei in the smart driving sector, with plans to integrate the Chinese tech giant’s solutions into the Ye series.

More recently, Dongfeng Honda and GAC Honda, another Honda joint venture, have dropped the “Ye” branding from their marketing materials, referring to the models as P7 and S7 instead. The decision follows negative feedback regarding the Chinese character used for “Ye,” which was considered inauspicious.
The Honda S7 measures 4,750 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, and 1,625 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,930 mm, according to a previous regulatory filing. It is equipped with dual motors producing 150 kW and 200 kW, respectively, and a lithium ternary battery supplied by CATL.
