Fuel and charging card provider DKV Mobility has expanded its electric vehicle charging services in Switzerland and Italy, adding home and workplace charging solutions to its existing public charging network in both countries.

The move extends DKV Mobility’s integrated charging ecosystem, allowing corporate fleet operators to manage charging activities across public locations, company sites and employees’ homes through a single platform.

Expansion Beyond Public Charging

DKV Mobility has long offered access to public charging infrastructure, known as “@road,” in Switzerland and Italy. The company has now introduced its “@home” and “@work” charging solutions in both markets.

The expansion means businesses operating fleets in Switzerland and Italy can now deploy DKV’s full charging ecosystem, covering public charging, workplace charging and home charging for company vehicle drivers.

The company noted that the service enhancement is particularly valuable for organisations with local offices, facilities and employees in the two countries.

Growing European Charging Network

DKV Mobility reached the milestone of one million charging points in its network during 2025. Since then, the network has continued to expand and now provides access to approximately 1.2 million public charging points across Europe through the DKV Mobility charging card and mobile application.

The company focuses exclusively on business customers and fleet operators rather than private consumers.

Its charging infrastructure strategy is designed to support fleet electrification by providing access to charging services regardless of where vehicles are located.

Integrated Fleet Charging Solutions

Under the expanded offering, company car drivers in Switzerland and Italy can charge their vehicles at home using charging stations supplied through DKV Mobility and its partners or through compatible existing charging hardware integrated into the company’s management platform.

The workplace charging solution allows businesses to install and manage charging infrastructure at company premises for both passenger electric vehicles and electric commercial vehicles.

According to DKV Mobility, the platform automates billing and reimbursement processes across different user groups, including employees, business partners and visitors.

Supporting Fleet Electrification

Sven Mehringer, a manager at DKV Mobility, said customers increasingly expect charging solutions that function seamlessly across multiple locations.

“What matters to our customers is that charging works wherever their vehicles are – on the road, at home, or at the workplace,” Mehringer said.

He added that the introduction of @home and @work services in Switzerland and Italy closes an important gap in the company’s European network and provides fleet operators with a comprehensive charging solution from a single provider.

Broader European Strategy

Prior to the latest expansion, DKV Mobility’s home and workplace charging solutions were already available in Germany, Austria, France and the Benelux countries.

The addition of Switzerland and Italy reflects growing demand among European fleet operators for charging platforms capable of supporting all charging scenarios as electric vehicle adoption accelerates across corporate fleets.

The company said the expansion forms part of its wider e-mobility growth strategy aimed at simplifying charging management and supporting the transition to electric transport throughout Europe.
