Automotive software company Danlaw has launched its CleverCharge Level 2 home electric vehicle charger, a system designed to manage up to four EVs or plug-in hybrids simultaneously through a single mobile application, the company said. The product enters the market as multi-EV households become more common in North America, with Black Friday promotional pricing starting at $499.
At the core of the system is Danlaw’s patent-pending CleverKey technology, an OBD-II device that connects directly to a vehicle to extract battery and usage data. The charger uses this data to enable AI-driven features such as plug-in notifications, battery health diagnostics, estimated charging time, and detailed cost analysis.

The platform can also learn driving routines, send proactive charging reminders and schedule charging during off-peak electricity rate periods. When multiple CleverCharge units are installed at different locations, such as a main home, vacation property or office, the system organises chargers and vehicles by location within the app.
“We created CleverCharge to meet the unique needs of families with multiple EVs in the garage, a trend we know will grow thanks to a recent study from J.D. Power that said 94 percent of EV owners were likely to consider purchasing another EV for their next car,” said Scott Bolt, chief strategy officer at Danlaw. The CleverCharge system supports all EVs and plug-in hybrids sold in North America, with the CleverKey AI features currently available for most models except Tesla and Rivian, pending broader industry standards support.

Danlaw is offering the charger in both hardwired and NEMA 14-50 plug-in versions. The hardwired model delivers up to 48 amps and charging speeds of up to 46 miles of range per hour, while the plug-in version offers up to 40 amps and around 38 miles per hour. Standard pricing is set at $649 for the hardwired model and $599 for the plug-in version, with limited-time Black Friday prices reduced to $549 and $499, respectively. Both versions are rated for indoor and outdoor installation and are available with either NACS (SAE J3400) or SAE J1772 connectors.
