IMC Trolleybus & eBRT2030 Conference 2026
The IMC Trolleybus & eBRT2030 Conference 2026 will take place in Lyon, France, bringing together cities, public transport operators, planners, infrastructure companies, researchers and policymakers to discuss the development of resilient, economical and electric bus systems. The two-day international conference focuses on the strategic decisions required to electrify urban bus networks and develop high-performance electric transport corridors.
The conference will examine how cities can integrate vehicles, charging and overhead infrastructure, energy systems, operations and financing into sustainable and economically viable public transport networks. Discussions will cover infrastructure planning, energy and grid integration, simulation and data-driven decision-making, system resilience, lifecycle costs and long-term operational reliability.
Key topics include In-Motion Charging (IMC), electric bus rapid transit (eBRT), trolleybus systems, electric bus infrastructure, smart grids, energy management, public transport electrification, digitalization, circular economy and integrated mobility systems.
The program will combine strategic presentations, technical sessions, practical case studies, interactive discussions and networking between cities, operators, industry and research institutions. A technical site visit is also scheduled for November 13, providing participants with an opportunity to examine electric public transport implementation in the Lyon region.
