Citroen recently unveiled the latest version of Ami’s all-electric compact car lineup, the My Ami Tonic. Coming in a khaki and yellow color scheme along with new external features, the Ami Tonic is said to be more focused on a more personal design for its users.
The My Ami Tonic features a new headlamp bezel inspired by the design of the glasses, and comes in a new khaki and yellow color scheme with bespoke wheel trim and decorative roof rails. Ami Tonic also features “+” and “-” interior stickers on the A-pillars to highlight the characteristics of its electric car.
Yellow accents are also present in the interior, with door pulls, bag hooks and two front panel niches in bright yellow, contrasting with the khaki accents on the dashboard storage area and around the door net. Yellow directional arrows are used to guide passengers on how to use features such as door and window handles.
Mathieu Wandon, Head of Graphic Design at Citroen, said: “The Citroen Design Team wanted to bring a touch of freshness and vitality to this new version. The combination of yellow and khaki, combined with clever technical features give My Ami Tonic a delightful edge.”
The interior of My Ami Tonic is equipped with various accessories to support daily use such as a smartphone holder, three storage areas, a door net, a separation net, a bag hook, a floor mat, and a DAT@AMI dongle which is used to connect Ami with a smartphone via the My Citroen App. .
Mechanical heart matters, My Ami Tonic is equipped with a 5.5 kWh battery pack that can be fully charged in just three hours, My Ami Tonic is also claimed to have a WMTC range of up to 46 miles. This 5.5 kWh battery provides energy for the 6kW electric motor, enabling the Citroen My Ami Tonic to reach a top speed of 28 mph.
