China seems to be a market for affordable electric-based cars. After having a Wuling Mini EV with a price start with 29,900 yuan, now another cheap electric car appears, namely the Chery QQ Ice Cream.
This cheap electric car was first introduced in early September 2021 and is planned to be marketed in China on 28 December.
Reported from the official website of Chery New Energy today, Monday, December 20, 2021, Chery QQ Ice Cream will be available in three types, namely Pudding, Cone, and Sundae.
Regarding the price, Chery QQ Ice Cream Pudding is marketed with a tag of 29,900 yuan, while the Cone type is sold at 37,900 yuan. Then for the highest type, the Chery QQ Ice Cream Sundae is sold at a price of 43,900 yuan.
Talking about specifications, Chery QQ Ice Cream is equipped with an electric motor capable of producing a maximum power of 27.2 PS and 85 Nm of torque. The electric motor is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery with two range capacity options, namely 120 km and 170 km. This mini electric car is capable of traveling at a maximum speed of 100 km/hour.
In appearance, at first glance, Chery QQ Ice Cream is similar to the Wuling Hongguang MINI EV. The headlights already use LEDs and there are LED DRLs that are also U-shaped. The 12-inch wheels are wrapped in 145/70 tires. While the rear view has a lamp design similar to the headlights.
Then in the interior, the Chery QQ Ice Cream is equipped with a digital instrument panel and an infotainment system with a touch screen. Similar to the Wuling MINI EV, this cheap Chery QQ electric car also uses a four-seat configuration. The steering wheel uses a two-spoke model and there are control buttons for the infotainment system.
