Cenntro Automotive Unveils Five New Electric and Autonomous Vehicles at CES 2023

Cenntro Automotive, a US-based emerging electric vehicle manufacturer, presented the world premiere of five new vehicles at the CES event. These vehicles included the LM864H, a class 8 hydrogen fuel cell semi-truck, the Logistar 300, a battery-electric Class 3 van, and the iChassis product line which consists of three fully programmable, open-platform vehicles designed for autonomous and automated driving. The company also unveiled an autonomous vehicle platform at the event.

Cenntro plans to release its first hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, the LM864H, in the third quarter of this year. The LM864H is a 6×4 semi-trailer truck powered by eight 210-liter hydrogen fuel cell banks and is intended for heavy duty logistics due to its long range and fast refuelling capabilities.

The company has not yet revealed which supplier will provide the fuel cell technology. In addition to the LM864H, Cenntro Automotive will also offer a fully battery-electric LS 300, available as both a van and a truck, with a 118 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and a maximum speed of 62 mph, as well as a range of 273 miles.

Cenntro Automotive has also entered the autonomous vehicle market with the iChassis, which the company describes as a gateway for open platform autonomy. The open-platform, fully programmable iChassis series allows third parties to develop their own software and design hardware to control and maneuver the vehicle, enabling them to create unique applications tailored to their specific needs.

At CES 2023, Cenntro exhibited its full Logistar line, which includes the LS100 compact cargo van, the LS200 multi-purpose van or box truck, the LS260 van, and the Class 4 LS400 designed for last-mile delivery and urban services. The company also displayed its off-road vehicles, the TeeMak and Antric One, as well as a four-wheeled e-cargo bike intended for delivery services and general cargo transport.
