Just a day after the MIIT information regarding the Zeekr MIX surfaced, more details are emerging about this highly anticipated electric SUV. While the pronunciation of its name remains a mystery, new insights into its design and features are shedding light on what to expect.
Recent pictures of a camouflaged MIX prototype reveal a unique door configuration. The driver’s side features a conventional opening door, while the passenger side showcases a sliding door setup for both front and rear passengers. Additionally, a gold-colored Zeekr MIX was spotted testing in Heihe, providing a glimpse of its two-tone paintwork, featuring a mix of gold and black. The front of the vehicle is highlighted by a 90-inch integrated smart light curtain, adding to its distinctive appearance.
One of the most intriguing features of the Zeekr MIX is its rotating front seats, capable of a 180° turn. This design choice explains the seatbelt attachment to the seats rather than the car’s sides and complements the dual sliding doors on the passenger side, suggesting a versatile interior layout with potential conference-style functionality.
The Zeekr MIX will be available in two versions, distinguished by their curb weights of 2639kg and 2739kg, indicating possible variations in battery capacities. Both versions will be powered by the same 310 kW (440 Nm torque) silicon carbide rear motor found in the Zeekr 007, likely utilizing an 800V architecture for enhanced performance.
Despite its unconventional dimensions, with a long wheelbase of 3008 mm and a relatively short length of 4688 mm, the Zeekr MIX aims to make an impact, following the success of the Zeekr 007. With plans for a European launch next year, Zeekr is poised to introduce an electric SUV that combines innovation, performance, and distinctive design in a rapidly evolving market.
