BYD UK said it has partnered with QBE Automotive Protection to offer extended warranty and service and maintenance plans for its electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, expanding its aftersales offering as the Chinese automaker continues to grow its presence in the British market.
Under the agreement, the protection products are available immediately through BYD’s authorised UK retailer network, which the company expects to expand to more than 125 outlets across the country in 2026. The plans are designed to cover unexpected repair costs as well as routine servicing for BYD’s vehicle range.

The partnership applies to BYD’s battery-electric models sold in the UK, including the Dolphin Surf, Dolphin, Atto 2, Atto 3, Seal and Sealion 7, as well as its plug-in hybrid offerings such as the Atto 2 DM-i, Seal 6 DM-i and Seal U DM-i.
BYD said the collaboration reflects its focus on improving customer support as it scales its retail footprint. Bono Ge, country manager of BYD UK, said the arrangement was intended to extend customer support beyond the initial vehicle purchase. “Partnering with QBE Automotive Protection allows us to extend that commitment beyond the showroom, ensuring our customers are supported throughout their ownership journey,” he said.

BYD said the protection plans would be offered through its authorised retailers and added that it was assessing additional service packages to complement the new products. The company, which is listed in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, sells new energy vehicles across more than 100 countries and regions worldwide.
