Skoda Auto has released the first exterior design sketches of the upcoming Peaq, offering an early glimpse of the automaker’s future flagship electric SUV ahead of its global debut later this month.
The all-electric model, which will feature three rows of seating, is scheduled to make its world premiere on June 23 in Monnetier-Mornex, France. The Peaq is expected to become a central part of Skoda’s expanding electric vehicle lineup as the Czech automaker broadens its presence in the family-oriented EV segment.
Modern Solid Design Language Takes Center Stage
The design sketches showcase the latest interpretation of Skoda’s Modern Solid design philosophy, characterized by clean body surfaces, strong proportions and distinctive lighting elements. According to the company, the styling aims to combine practicality with a more contemporary and technologically focused appearance.
“The exterior combines clean lines, balanced proportions and distinctive elements,” said Karl Neuhold, Head of Exterior Design at Skoda Auto. “Features such as the T-shaped headlights and Tech-Deck Face express Skoda’s identity in a new electric era.”
Distinctive Front-End Styling
At the front, the Peaq adopts a slim T-shaped LED headlight arrangement integrated with Skoda’s gloss-black Tech-Deck Face. A light strip connects the headlights, creating a loop-shaped visual signature designed to distinguish the model from other vehicles in the brand’s portfolio.

The lower front fascia incorporates a bumper design inspired by volcanic forms, with prominent contours and horizontal elements intended to emphasize the SUV’s width and road presence. The overall design reflects a more assertive approach while maintaining the clean aesthetic associated with the Modern Solid concept.
SUV-Inspired Profile With Aerodynamic Features
Side-profile sketches reveal a high shoulder line, pronounced D-pillars and sculpted bodywork that reinforce the vehicle’s SUV character. Flush door handles are also featured, a design element increasingly adopted by EV manufacturers to improve aerodynamic efficiency.
Rear Lighting Mirrors Front Design
At the rear, the Peaq continues the visual theme with T-shaped taillights linked by a central illuminated element. The arrangement mirrors the front-end design and creates a consistent lighting signature intended to enhance recognition during both daytime and nighttime driving.
Technical Details Yet to Be Announced
Skoda has yet to disclose technical specifications for the vehicle. Details regarding battery capacity, driving range, powertrain performance and onboard technologies are expected to be announced during the official unveiling.
Key Model in Skoda’s Electrification Strategy
The Peaq will become Skoda’s flagship electric SUV and is expected to play a significant role in the company’s broader electrification strategy, combining seven-seat practicality with the latest generation of EV design and technology.
