One FedEx driver in a BrightDrop Zevo 600 electric van has won the Guinness World Records award for the longest distance from New York City to Washington D.C. on a single charge.
Coinciding with the commemoration of Earth Day 2022, the man named Stephen Marlin successfully completed a nearly 260 mile (480 km) journey on a single charge driving a BrightDrop Zevo 600.
Travis Katz, President and CEO of BrightDrop said that since its inception, the Zevo 600 electric van has been a record-breaking vehicle.

Travis Katz says that having long battery life is essential for any delivery fleet.

Previously, BrightDrop had delivered its first electric light commercial vehicle to FedEx in December. BrightDrop completed production of the first Zevo 600 in just 20 months, making it the fastest vehicle to market in GM history.
Meanwhile, Mitch Jackson, FedEx Chief Sustainability Officer is proud to be part of a record-breaking moment and to achieve a carbon-neutral mission by 2040.
“Powering our entire package delivery fleet is a critical component of that goal and we’re excited that BrightDrop is bringing a tangible solution to market that can help us achieve it,” said Mitch Jackson.
As part of the journey, the Zevo 600 transports shipments of Full Circle sustainable cleaning products from its headquarters in New York City to its MOM organic market location in Washington, D.C.
