bp pulse, the electric vehicle (EV) charging arm of bp, has launched its first ultrafast charging site in Arizona. The new hub is located at a Petro Travel Center along the Interstate 10 corridor, situated between the cities of Phoenix and Tucson.

The new station is equipped with 16 charging bays, each offering up to 400kW charging speed. The facility is designed to serve a wide range of EVs by providing both CCS and NACS connectors. The site operates 24/7 and offers on-site amenities for drivers, including a travel store, diner, restrooms, and an ATM.

The Arizona launch is part of bp pulse’s ongoing strategy to install EV charging hubs at TravelCenters of America and Petro locations across the United States. These travel center brands are part of the broader bp portfolio, with sites strategically placed along key highway routes to enable en-route charging for long-distance drivers.

This Arizona opening is part of a wider network expansion by bp pulse in late 2025. The company recently opened new EV charging hubs in other states, including Texas, Florida, and Ohio, alongside its existing presence in major metros and highway corridors.

Additionally, bp pulse has focused on establishing large-scale “Gigahubs” near high-demand locations, such as airports, in collaboration with partners like Hertz. The company is also working to integrate ultrafast charging at other consumer destinations through strategic agreements, including a plan announced to add charging to Waffle House locations starting in 2026.
