Bollinger Motors announced that its all-electric Bollinger B4 Class 4 commercial truck has been approved for New York’s Truck Voucher Incentive Program (NYTVIP), which provides incentives for commercial electric vehicles. The eligibility allows Bollinger’s customers to receive up to $100,000 in credit through the New York State Energy and Research Development Authority (NYSERDA), as the company aims to accelerate adoption of electric vehicles in the commercial fleet market.
The Bollinger B4 joins other qualified electric vehicles that benefit from incentives in four Northeastern states: New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Customers in these states may qualify for combined incentives totaling between $70,000 and $140,000. The Bollinger B4 also qualifies for an additional $40,000 in federal tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act, making the model a financially attractive option for fleet operators.
“We applaud the states in the Northeast who are working hard to create more sustainable transportation options,” said Jim Connelly, Chief Revenue Officer for Bollinger Motors. “The commercial fleet market is primed for electrification, and the incentives available in the Northeast will accelerate the adoption of this important technology.”
The Bollinger B4, set for a 2025 model year release, is designed to meet fleet needs, with a chassis engineered to safeguard its 158-kilowatt-hour battery pack. The vehicle’s design and functionality aim to support urban fleet applications, emphasizing both safety and durability, according to Bollinger.
Alongside the New York program, other state incentives for the B4 include up to $30,000 in Massachusetts through its MOR-EV program, $90,000 in New Jersey under NJ ZIP, and $20,000 in Pennsylvania’s Alternative Fuels Incentive Grant Program (AFIG).
Connelly added that “the financial incentives combined with the versatility of the Class 4 B4 to perform a variety of duty cycles creates incredible value for our customers.”
