BMW, a car manufacturer based in Germany, on Monday (26/9/2022) introduced its newest electric SUV, the BMW iX1. This electric SUV uses a dual motor system that sends most of the power to the front wheels.

The BMW iX1 has a “BOOST Mode” that produces 313 horsepower and 364 pound-feet of torque.

With a 64.7kWh battery, this electric SUV can cover a distance of 413 to 439 kilometers (257 to 273 miles), depending on the choice of wheels and tires.

Meanwhile, the BMW iX1 takes less than 30 minutes to charge from 10 to 80 percent.

Then, this electric SUV has also adopted the “Adaptive M Suspension” feature which uses shock absorbers, thus making the car feel stable on uneven roads.

The plan, BMW will only sell this electric SUV to Europe with an estimated price of around 40,000 to 50,000 euros.

Some time ago, the automaker has also revealed its latest generation battery technology which is claimed to increase charging range and speed by up to 30 percent.

BMW will roll out the technology in its next-generation Neue Klasse electric vehicle (EV) in 2024, replacing the 46mm (1.8-inch) prismatic battery cells.

BMW’s new generation of batteries will also increase energy density by 20 percent.
