BMW is set to showcase the latest iteration of its iDrive system and display, which will be featured in upcoming Neue Klasse production models. The new technology will be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas next month. The unveiling will take place at the BMW Pavilion, with a special event hosted by comedian Tim Meadows.

The system includes BMW’s first panoramic iDrive display, which the company claims will “set new standards for in-vehicle experiences with a clear focus on driver orientation, safety, and personalization.” The announcement comes as part of BMW’s broader strategy to integrate more advanced tech features into its upcoming models.

Images shared ahead of the event show Meadows standing in front of what appears to be a large steering wheel and a full-width infotainment display. These elements appear to resemble the design seen in the Vision Neue Klasse X concept, suggesting that these features could make their way to production models. The “panoramic” display, which has been a notable part of the Vision Neue Klasse concepts, is also expected to be included in future vehicles. The Vision Neue Klasse X SUV and Vision Neue Klasse sedan both featured curved, full-width displays positioned at the base of the windshield.

The official reveal will take place on January 7th at 8:30 a.m. PST. Meadows will be joined by BMW AG chief development officer Frank Weber, head of BMW Group Design Adrian van Hooydonk, and head of UI/UX development Stephan Durach.

The first Neue Klasse-based production model, the all-electric iX3, is scheduled for launch next year. This model is expected to adopt a design philosophy similar to that of the Vision Neue Klasse X. Following that, a road-going variant of the Neue Klasse sedan concept is planned for release in 2026, with additional Neue Klasse models expected to follow in the subsequent years.
