BMW will provide a $7,500 purchase credit across its electric and electrified vehicle lineup in the United States, a move that follows the expiration of the federal EV tax credit on September 30.
The credit applies to all eligible BMW models, including the 2025 i7 M70, which carries a starting price of about $169,675.

Unlike the federal program, which limited eligibility based on vehicle price and buyer income, BMW’s incentive is applied uniformly regardless of model cost or household income.
In addition to the purchase credit, BMW is offering financing rates as low as 2.99% for up to 60 months and loyalty bonuses of up to $5,000.
The strategy underscores how automakers are shifting toward direct discounts and promotional offers to support EV sales in the absence of federal tax credits.

Industry analysts note that while the federal incentive helped offset upfront costs, many buyers did not qualify due to income thresholds or vehicle pricing restrictions.
By contrast, BMW’s approach may broaden access to savings while also strengthening the brand’s position in the premium EV market.
