Bentley has revealed a redesigned Flying Spur range and revived the performance-focused Flying Spur S, a luxury hybrid sedan that delivers 680 PS and 930 Nm of torque while introducing a significantly updated design inspired by the latest Continental GT family.
The fourth-generation Flying Spur S becomes the most powerful model ever to wear Bentley’s S badge and is scheduled to enter production at the company’s Crewe facility in September, with customer deliveries expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Single Headlamps Return After More Than Six Decades
The redesigned Flying Spur adopts a cleaner exterior appearance and marks the return of single front headlamps to a Bentley sedan for the first time since 1962.
Bentley has also revised the front fascia with a grille integrated into the bumper, while removing the previous wing vent design in favor of a smoother body surface with model badging positioned behind the front wheel.
At the rear, the sedan features a redesigned boot lid, updated taillamps and a body-colored number plate surround. New 22-inch wheel designs and a Dark Teal metallic paint option have also been added to the range.
Most Powerful Flying Spur S Yet
The new Flying Spur S is powered by Bentley’s High-Performance Hybrid V8 powertrain, producing 680 PS and 930 Nm.
According to Bentley, output is approximately 130 PS higher than the previous-generation Flying Spur S and nearly 20% greater than any earlier S-badged Flying Spur model.
The luxury sedan accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds, reaches 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 191 mph.
The powertrain is shared with other Bentley hybrid models, including the Continental GT and Continental GT Convertible.
Advanced Chassis Technology
For the first time, the Flying Spur S is equipped with an electronic limited-slip differential.
The vehicle also features Bentley’s Performance Active Chassis package, which combines:
- Active all-wheel drive with torque vectoring
- Twin-valve dampers
- 48-volt Bentley Dynamic Ride active anti-roll technology
- New-generation electronic stability control software
- Electronic limited-slip differential
Bentley said the package is designed to improve agility, stability and overall driving dynamics.
Blackline Styling Package
A Blackline Specification is available for customers seeking a sportier appearance.
The package includes gloss black matrix grilles, black Bentley badging, dark lower bumper elements, black mirror caps and sill extensions, as well as dark-tint LED matrix headlamps and taillamps.
Expanded Luxury Interior
The Flying Spur now offers five seating configurations, each requiring approximately 12 hours of hand assembly.
Customers can choose between fluted and advanced quilted seat designs, while Bentley’s new Virtuoso Collection introduces additional personalization options.
The collection is available in Soprano, Tenor and Bass themes and incorporates Champagne Gold accents throughout the cabin and exterior details.
Naim Audio System Inspired by Batur
The Virtuoso Collection can also be specified with the Naim for Mulliner audio system.
Originally developed for the coachbuilt Batur, the system features 21 speakers derived from Focal’s Grand Utopia range and incorporates patented single-piece “M” cone technology for mid-range drivers and tweeters.
The audio system was previously offered on the Batur as a premium option priced at approximately £25,000 before taxes.
With the redesigned Flying Spur and the return of the S derivative, Bentley is expanding its electrified luxury portfolio while maintaining the performance and craftsmanship that define the brand’s flagship sedan lineup.
