Avatr Technology, the electric vehicle (EV) brand backed by Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei, has launched its first showroom in Thailand, following its recent announcement to enter the Southeast Asian automotive market. The EV maker has begun delivering its flagship Avatr 11 SUV to over 100 customers in Thailand, marking a milestone in its regional expansion.
At a launch event in Bangkok on September 17, Avatr introduced the right-hand drive version of its Avatr 11 SUV, available in Standard Range and Long Range variants, priced at 2,099,000 baht ($60,940) and 2,299,000 baht, respectively. “We are confident that Thailand will become a key stronghold in our globalization strategy, facilitating our entry into other Southeast Asian nations and broader right-hand drive markets,” the company noted.
Avatrâs debut model, the Avatr 11, initially launched in China in August 2022, is available in four left-hand drive versions with starting prices from RMB 300,800 ($41,860). The company aims to accelerate its international footprint, planning to enter up to 50 countries with more than 100 authorized stores by 2025.
In separate news, Avatr recently outlined plans to go public in 2026, according to an announcement on the Shanghai United Assets and Equity Exchange. This move follows Avatrâs record-breaking October sales, with 10,056 vehicles sold, and a total of 40,904 units delivered from January to September, marking a 132.55 percent increase year-on-year.
