Chinese electric vehicle maker Avatr Technology on Wednesday launched an updated version of its Avatr 12 sedan and opened pre-sales for the new Avatr 06T wagon, as the company broadens its product lineup ahead of a planned Hong Kong listing.
Backed by Changan Automobile, CATL and Huawei, Avatr said the updated Avatr 12 is available in five battery-electric variants and two extended-range electric variants.
Battery-electric versions of the Avatr 12 are priced between 303,900 yuan ($44,450) and 433,900 yuan, while the two extended-range variants start at 293,900 yuan and 313,900 yuan.
The company said the sedan comes standard with Huawei’s 896-channel LiDAR system and HarmonySpace smart cockpit software.
Avatr said the tri-motor battery-electric version of the Avatr 12 can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 2.71 seconds using its Taihang distributed electric drive system.
The automaker also opened pre-sales for the Avatr 06T, a sports wagon that marks the brand’s entry into the wagon segment. The model is offered in four variants, including three battery-electric versions priced from 229,900 yuan to 279,900 yuan and one extended-range version starting at 249,900 yuan.
The Avatr 06T is a derivative of the Avatr 06 sedan, the company’s fourth mass-produced model launched in April 2025.
Avatr said the wagon will officially launch on April 22 and that the battery-electric version will offer a driving range of more than 740 kilometers.
The accelerated model rollout comes as Avatr prepares for an initial public offering in Hong Kong after filing for a listing late last year, with the flotation expected to be completed in the second quarter.
