Avatr Technology has officially entered the Greek market through a partnership with automotive group Autohellas, marking another step in the electric vehicle manufacturer’s European expansion strategy.

The agreement follows Avatr’s broader plan to establish a stronger presence across Europe as it accelerates its international growth.

Partnership Strengthens European Expansion

Avatr signed a cooperation agreement with Autohellas, one of Greece’s largest automotive companies with operations covering vehicle distribution, retail, long-term leasing and mobility services.

The group also has a presence across Greece, the Balkans, Cyprus and Portugal through its automotive businesses. Its Velmar dealership network represents several international vehicle brands, including Ford, Opel, Volvo, Hyundai, Kia, BMW and Mini.

The latest partnership builds on the existing relationship between Autohellas and Avatr’s parent company, Changan Automobile.

In 2025, Changan signed a vehicle distribution agreement with Autohellas as part of its “In Europe, For Europe” strategy. Under that collaboration, Changan’s Deepal brand has already introduced the S07 and S05 models to the Greek market.

Global Growth Plans

Avatr has previously announced plans to officially enter additional European markets before the end of the year.

The company said it now operates in more than 40 countries and regions and that its overseas business has already achieved profitability.

During this year’s Chongqing Auto Show, Avatr outlined a five-year growth strategy targeting annual global sales of 800,000 vehicles, with overseas markets expected to account for 40% of total deliveries. The company plans to expand its footprint to more than 110 countries and regions.

New SUV in Development

Avatr continues to broaden its vehicle portfolio across both sedan and SUV segments.

The company recently previewed the upcoming 07L, a family-oriented luxury SUV developed jointly with Huawei’s Qiankun intelligent driving team.

The model is expected to feature Huawei’s 896-channel LiDAR sensor and ADS intelligent driving system, positioning it above the existing Avatr 07 in the company’s lineup.

The current 2026 Avatr 07 is available in six variants, with prices ranging from 219,900 yuan (approximately US$32,400) to 279,900 yuan.
