Electric vehicles (EVs) lose a significant portion of their driving range in extreme heat, according to a recent test carried out in southern Spain, one of Europe’s hottest regions. General Motors said it will begin assembling the new Chevy Captiva EV in Brazil in 2026, expanding its commitment to local electric vehicle production alongside the Spark EUV. Norway continues to lead Scandinavia in electric vehicle (EV) adoption, with fully electric cars accounting for 97.2 per cent of new passenger car registrations in July, according to the Norwegian Road Traffic Information Council (OFV).
