Toyota UK said on Monday it is reducing the starting price of its electric bZ4x to £36,995 and offering a £3,750 rebate to retail customers until the end of September, as part of a wider promotion across its hybrid and electric lineup.
The initiative, called Toyota Electric Savings, provides discounts ranging from £1,000 to £3,750 on selected models, including the Yaris and Yaris Cross, Corolla, C-HR hybrid, Rav4 hybrid, and Prius hybrid. “Finance arrangements completed by 15 December this year” are eligible, the company said in a statement.
Most models benefit from a £1,500 rebate, while the bZ4x receives the maximum discount, making it the only model priced at £36,995 on the road. The promotion is available to retail customers until September 30.
Toyota has been positioning the bZ4x as a flagship electric vehicle, with production sites established in Indonesia, though vehicles for the UK market are likely to be produced in the Czech Republic.
The company aims to triple its global EV lineup by 2027 and raise total vehicle production to around one million units per year.
