LML to start electric scooter production at former Harley Davidson manufacturing facility
LML recently announced its return to the Indian automotive market by venturing into the electric mobility space. Now, the company has entered into a strategic partnership with Saera Electric Auto, which previously produced Harley Davidson motorcycles in India. Japanese electronics company Sony wants to create technology to make cars not just a mobility tool, but an entertainment space connected to a 5G network like a mobile device. NIO has just introduced Europe’s first battery swap station located in Norway. The battery exchange station is close to the E-18 at Kjellstad in Lier, a few kilometers north of Drammen. NIO plans to build 20 battery swap station by the end of 2022. The battery swap station is the second generation Power Swap Station 2.0. Electric truck manufacturer Nikola Corp. said Tuesday, January 18, that it has signed a deal with Proterra Inc for long-term supply of batteries to support production of its semi-trucks. Electric vehicles accounted for 4.9 percent of Audi’s overall sales in 2021. In 2021 Audi posted total sales for all vehicle types of 1,680,512 vehicles (down 0.7% year-over-year). Local Motors, the startup that makes autonomous vehicles Olli, will cease operations, according to an employee posting on LinkedIn. Local Motors itself has not confirmed with an official announcement for this news. Local Motors’ initial assumption that it stopped operating was due to a lack of capital.
