Producing a car does require precision. The product recall by Porsche is proof that even a small mistake can have fatal consequences for the safety of its passengers. According to documents published by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Porsche recalled 9,570 Taycan electric vehicles due to seat problems. The electric car in question was produced between October 2, 2019 and May 18, 2021. The problem is related to the wiring harness in the driver’s and front passenger’s seats, which can become damaged when the passenger adjusts the seat back and forth. Tesla is suing Alexander Yatskov, his former engineer for illegally transferring Dojo supercomputer technology information to his own computers. In addition to illegally transferring information, Alexander Yatskov is said to have handed over a “dummy” laptop for inspection to cover up the theft of the information. Nissan, the parent company of Datsun, is rumored to be re-birthing the Japanese automotive brand in an affordable electric car version that targets several markets in developing countries. Electric carmaker Rivian Automotive Incorporated will receive $1.5 billion in tax incentives and relief from the state for the construction of a new electric vehicle assembly plant in Georgia. After a hiatus of several years, the German sports car manufacturer Wiesmann came up with the Project Thunderball, which is an all-electric roadster with an 800-volt architecture.
