ASFINAG, Austria’s state-owned motorway and expressway operator, has completed the transition of its entire passenger car fleet to electric vehicles, removing its last combustion-engine car and bringing the total number of electric service vehicles to 502. The company said the move forms a central pillar of its broader mobility strategy aimed at promoting low-emissions transport for its roughly 3,500 employees. Massimo Group said it has launched a dedicated Fleet & Commercial Vehicle Program, aiming to expand sales of its electric utility vehicles to municipalities, campuses and commercial fleet operators, as the company seeks to diversify revenue beyond traditional consumer markets. The program centers on the company’s MVR HVAC electric vehicle lineup, which features fully enclosed cabs with integrated heating and air-conditioning systems designed for year-round operation. TPS, Volkswagen Group UK’s parts distribution business, is continuing to expand the use of electric vehicles in its delivery fleet, with more than one in ten vehicles now fully electric. Over the past year, TPS has more than doubled the number of EVs in its fleet, which totals around 680 vehicles. The business operates 83 TPS centres across the UK, supplying Volkswagen Group parts to independent garages and bodyshops, primarily for passenger vehicles from brands including Audi, SEAT, CUPRA, Skoda and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. Bristol Airport said it will transition two of its Airport Flyer bus services to fully electric fleets as part of its plan to achieve net zero operations by 2030. The A1 and A3 Airport Flyer routes, which connect Bristol Airport with destinations including central Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare and Bedminster, will be operated using battery electric buses from 2026. Royal Mail said it has introduced its 8,000th electric vehicle into service in the UK, marking a milestone in the company’s effort to decarbonise its delivery operations as it works toward a net-zero target by 2040. The latest electric van has entered service at the Nottingham North Delivery Office, joining 48 electric vehicles already operating there for daily deliveries and collections. This acquisition marks the largest procurement of battery-electric delivery vehicles by the organization to date, with the new two-wheelers intended to enhance efficiency and improve working conditions for employees, particularly in rural areas. Openreach, the main network infrastructure company for the U.K., has announced a significant milestone in its fleet electrification strategy, adding its 6,000th electric vehicle (EV). The organization, which operates the U.K.’s second-largest commercial fleet, is targeting 7,000 EVs by the end of March 2026.
