New research from Hippo Leasing has revealed the European countries that can get their hands on EVs the quickest. They’ve crunched the numbers to reveal how long it will take countries in Europe and the UK to buy an EV, based on the average cost of an EV against the country’s average wage. For the study, they have used the 10% Savings Rule, a guideline that encourages people to set aside 10% of their income when they’re saving for a major purchase, such as a car. Mercedes-Benz has signed a letter of intent with Norwegian Aluminium maker Hydro for a low-carbon technology roadmap between 2023 to 2030, a key milestone on the way toward enabling a green aluminium supply chain. Hydro and Mercedes-Benz agreed on the gradually supply of very low CO₂ emission aluminium for automotive applications on the road to decarbonisation.
