Autel Energy said on Monday it has launched its new MaxiCharger DT1000 series, a high-power charging system developed in partnership with Phoenix Contact, integrating the German firm’s 1,000-ampere liquid-cooled CCS Type 2 cable and connector technology.

The system is designed to support megawatt-class charging performance for heavy-duty electric vehicles and commercial fleets, offering sustained 800A charging and a 1,000A boost mode. The cable uses a water-glycol cooling loop to ensure stable thermal performance, while remaining lightweight and flexible for operators, Autel said.

“With the new generation of the cooled CCS HPC connector, Phoenix Contact delivers a charging power of up to 1 MW in boost mode, significantly narrowing the performance gap between CCS and MCS charging stations,” said Joachim Pucker, senior director of e-mobility sales network at Phoenix Contact.

The DT1000 is built on a modular power electronics architecture, enabling deployments that scale from mid-range to megawatt levels depending on site requirements. Autel said the system can be paired with its latest liquid-cooled modules, making it suitable for logistics hubs, fleet depots, and intercity bus terminals.

“By integrating Phoenix Contact’s new CCS2 connector into our MaxiCharger DT1000, we can bring this technology into a complete system … enabling the highest charging performance on CCS where it’s needed today,” said Andreas Lastei, vice president of Autel Energy Europe.
