Audi has expanded its e-mobility portfolio with the release of its second-generation electric mountain bike, the eMTB 2.0, featuring performance improvements, a lower price point, and a design inspired by the brand’s Dakar-winning RS Q e-tron racecar.
Developed in partnership with Italian e-bike manufacturer Fantic, the eMTB 2.0 incorporates an upgraded SRAM GX Eagle Transmission AXS electronic rear derailleur and larger EPTA STAGE brake rotors measuring 220mm at the front and 203mm at the rear. The bike is based on Fantic’s XEF 1.9 Factory enduro model and features a lightweight aluminum frame with a relaxed riding position.

The full-suspension eMTB uses an Öhlins TTX22m.2 coil-sprung rear shock and an Öhlins RXF38 m.2 air-sprung fork, both offering 180mm of travel. The bike has a mixed-wheel setup with a 29-inch front wheel and a 27.5-inch rear wheel, Mavic tubeless-ready wheels, and Vittoria off-road tires, designed for various terrains. Stopping power is provided by Sunstar Braking’s F.I.R.S.T. calipers.
Power comes from a 250-watt Brose S-MAG motor delivering up to 90 Nm of torque, supported by a 36-volt, 720-Wh lithium-ion battery integrated into the frame. A digital display on the handlebars shows speed, battery status, and assistance level, with riders able to select from four modes: Eco, Tour, Sport, and Boost. The estimated range varies from 12 to 90 miles depending on terrain, rider weight, and assistance mode.

Despite the upgrades, the eMTB 2.0 carries a suggested retail price of $5,850, excluding taxes, lower than its predecessor. Deliveries are expected by September 2025, with bikes available through the Audi Genuine Accessories network. Audi also offers branded riding gear and compatible vehicle bike racks.
