Astra Mobility Meta, a subsidiary of Robo.ai Inc., has signed a commercial agreement with Dubai-based W Motors Automotive Group to co-develop and produce 30,000 smart electric and autonomous vehicles (AEVs) over the next five years. The partnership marks a major step toward advancing connected and sustainable mobility solutions in the Middle East.

Under the agreement, Astra will lead product design, development, and systems integration, while W Motors will oversee local manufacturing and vehicle customization at its Dubai Silicon Oasis facility. The collaboration covers end-to-end development, from prototyping and validation to safety certification and after-sales support. Production is expected to begin in 2026, with the first proof-of-concept vehicle slated for completion within three months.

The new line of intelligent vehicles will serve multiple applications, including shared mobility, smart logistics, last-mile delivery, and autonomous transport. The integration of Web3 and DePIN technologies will link each vehicle to Arkreen’s green-energy data network, allowing them to operate with a verifiable digital identity and track real-time energy use, charging, and emissions on-chain.

Lawrence Chao, President of Astra Mobility Meta, described the project as “a system-level upgrade for the Middle East’s smart-manufacturing ecosystem.” He said the combination of Astra’s technology and W Motors’ local market expertise “turns every vehicle into a node for energy data and digital asset value.”

Ralph R. Debbas, CEO of W Motors, said the partnership underscores the company’s commitment to “accelerating the region’s transition to sustainable, intelligent mobility.” He added that the joint venture aims to “set a new benchmark for efficient, future-ready EV solutions tailored to the Middle East.”

W Motors, best known for the Lykan HyperSport and its work on Dubai Police’s GHIATH smart patrol platform, has established a strong reputation in smart mobility and high-performance vehicles. The partnership with Astra is expected to extend that expertise into large-scale electric and autonomous vehicle production.
