Rivian’s micromobility spinoff Also has unveiled a new line of four-wheeled, pedal-assist electric quads designed for both commercial and consumer use, signaling a push into the growing small electric vehicle segment. The new platform, called TM-Q, features sleek, tech-forward designs intended for bike lanes rather than congested streets.
The commercial TM-Q is aimed at delivery fleets operating in dense urban areas, where full-size vans are less practical. Also said the model is optimized for throughput, operational cost efficiency, and nimble handling in tight city spaces.

The consumer version targets families as a potential second-vehicle alternative, with capacity for errands, groceries, and recreational use, leveraging the same technology base as the commercial quad.

A significant part of Also’s expansion is a multi-year partnership with Amazon, which plans to deploy thousands of TM-Q e-cargo quads across more than 70 micromobility hubs in the U.S. and Europe.
Emily Barber, Director of Amazon’s Global Fleet, said, “Micromobility solutions like pedal-assist e-cargo quads allow us to quickly deliver to customers in dense, urban cities, while helping reduce traffic and noise. Similar to our Rivian EDV partnership, working with Also provides an opportunity to continue to innovate in this space, building on our delivery logistics experience, paired with their advanced technology, safety, and performance features.”

The TM-Q represents Also’s effort to combine small-scale electric mobility with real-world utility, positioning the company alongside other emerging players in the urban e-cargo and family EV segment. With Amazon backing the rollout, the adoption of four-wheeled, bike-lane-legal electric quads could accelerate, offering a sustainable alternative for city deliveries and local transportation.
