Aito said that its one-millionth production vehicle has rolled off the assembly line, marking a key milestone for the premium automotive brand jointly developed by Huawei and Seres.
The milestone vehicle was the Aito M9, the brand’s flagship SUV, which starts at 469,800 yuan ($67,350), placing it among the highest-priced models produced by a Chinese domestic brand. Aito said it took five years to reach cumulative production of one million vehicles and aims to produce a second million within the next two years.

“It took us five years to achieve the first million, and our goal is to reach the second million in just two years,” said Zhang Xinghai, founder of Seres, at a roll-off ceremony marking the milestone.
Aito was launched on Dec. 2, 2021, as the first brand under Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA). The current lineup consists entirely of SUVs, including the M5, M7, M8 and M9.

Since its market launch in December 2023, the M9 has recorded more than 260,000 deliveries over two years, setting a delivery benchmark in China for vehicles priced around 500,000 yuan, according to the company. Aito said it delivered its 270,000th M9 during Tuesday’s ceremony.

The brand is preparing to broaden its portfolio. Chinese media outlet LatePost reported in November that Aito plans to introduce a new M6 SUV in the second quarter of 2026, targeting the family SUV segment priced around 250,000 yuan. The M5 remains Aito’s entry-level model, priced between 229,800 yuan and 249,800 yuan.

Aito also plans to launch a refreshed version of the M9 and a wheelbase-extended M9L variant, LatePost reported, as the brand seeks to sustain growth in China’s competitive premium vehicle market.
