Aito, the automotive brand jointly developed by Huawei and Seres, plans to enter the European market in autumn 2027, the company confirmed on October 12 at the Paris Motor Show 2026.

The brand displayed four SUVs at the event: the Aito 9, Aito 8, Aito 7 and Aito 6. These models correspond to the Aito M9, M8, M7 and M6 sold in China.

Aito has not yet announced which European countries it will enter first, which models will be available at launch or how the vehicles will be priced. It also has not confirmed whether all four SUVs displayed in Paris will be introduced in Europe.

European Certification and Safety Targets

Aito said it is preparing its vehicles to meet European regulatory requirements, including EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA). The brand is also targeting a five-star rating under the 2026 Euro NCAP assessment standards.

The five-star rating remains a target, rather than a result confirmed through completed testing. Aito has not disclosed a timetable for completing the certification process or announced any Euro NCAP test results for the four models displayed at the show.

The company is also adapting its vehicles for European road conditions, driving preferences and local lifestyles. This work includes cooperation with partners to tailor driver-assistance and parking-assistance functions to the market.

Plans for European Customer Support

Alongside vehicle adaptation and certification, Aito is developing a local service network for its planned European operations.

The proposed network is intended to cover vehicle diagnostics, mobility services, local spare-parts supply and dedicated customer service teams. The company has not yet disclosed the locations or size of the planned network.

These preparations form part of Aito’s broader market-entry process ahead of its targeted autumn 2027 launch.

Existing Expansion in the Middle East

Aito has already begun developing its overseas presence in the Middle East. In February 2026, the brand signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Performance Plus Motors, a subsidiary of UAE dealer Abu Dhabi Motors.

Under the announced arrangement, Performance Plus Motors is responsible for sales, deliveries and after-sales services for Aito vehicles in the United Arab Emirates. The partners also outlined plans to establish brand experience and service centres.

Aito said at the time that its flagship Aito 9 had begun test drives for customers in the UAE.

Huawei and Seres Extend Cooperation

Aito’s European plans come as Huawei and Seres continue to develop their partnership around the brand.

The companies signed a new five-year cooperation agreement on September 30 and announced on October 1 that they planned to establish a dedicated joint team for Aito.

Previously, on September 15, the companies announced that Seres would lead Aito’s product, marketing, retail and service operations, with support from Huawei. The brand would remain part of Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA).

The latest five-year agreement confirmed plans for the joint team but did not clarify whether the previously announced division of operational responsibilities would change.

Aito’s planned European entry will depend on completing regulatory approval, adapting vehicles for local requirements and establishing sales and service operations. Further details on launch markets, model availability and pricing have yet to be announced.
