Aehra, an Italian electric vehicle (EV) startup renowned for its focus on crafting ultra-premium electric cars, has recently unveiled the exterior design of its upcoming model, the Sedan. This grand reveal took place at the prestigious Milano Monza Motor Show, where the Sedan was showcased in its concept form. Serving as a sibling to Aehra’s previously showcased SUV, both models were developed simultaneously, a fact made evident by their striking visual similarities.

Inheriting the design language and body surface treatment of the Aehra SUV, the Sedan boasts a distinct identity with its lower stature and unique front and rear ends. Notable features include a sleek side profile adorned with a seamless fluid line and concealed door handles, an aggressive front end displaying refined headlights and a meticulously sculpted bumper incorporating active aerodynamic and cooling elements, and a tapered rear end sporting razor-sharp LED taillights. The presence of upward-opening double-falcon doors and aerodynamically optimized digital side mirrors further accentuate its allure.

While the company remains tight-lipped about the interior details, it is anticipated that the Sedan’s cabin will closely resemble the high-tech environment found in the SUV. Notably, the SUV showcases a wide retractable screen integrated into the dashboard, spanning the width of the windshield.

Although Aehra has provided limited information on the powertrain, it has been disclosed that the Sedan will feature a customized battery solution developed in collaboration with Miba Battery Systems. This partnership is expected to deliver an impressive range of nearly 500 miles (800 kilometers). Autocar had previously reported that the Sedan would house the same 800-horsepower tri-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain and a 120-kilowatt-hour battery pack as its SUV counterpart.

Furthermore, Aehra has incorporated cutting-edge materials typically employed in the production of supercars and hypercars, such as ultra-advanced, lightweight, and environmentally sustainable composite materials, including forged carbon fiber technologies.

While the Sedan’s prospects appear promising and its design captivating, the question of its eventual realization lingers. Aehra, however, assures the public that it possesses substantial private funding, enabling the company to commence deliveries of both the Sedan and SUV to customers in North America and Europe by 2026. It is worth noting that this target represents a one-year delay from the initial projection of 2025.

Following their availability in North America and Europe, these luxury EVs will eventually make their way to China and the Gulf States. As for pricing, the forthcoming electric luxury sedan is expected to have a starting price of approximately $170,000 (160,000 euros), placing it in direct competition with the Porsche Taycan Turbo.

Filippo Perini, Aehra’s design chief and a former Lamborghini executive renowned for his involvement in shaping iconic models like the Murcielago, Aventador, Huracan, Centenario, and Urus, expressed his confidence that the production version of the Sedan will closely resemble the concept’s design. With bated breath, we eagerly await the realization of his vision.
