Imagry has announced an update to its AI Driver software, aimed at enhancing the efficiency, scalability, and adaptability of autonomous driving solutions for passenger vehicles and autonomous buses. The improvements focus on reducing computing power requirements, enhancing real-time responsiveness, and offering greater integration flexibility.

The updated AI Driver software lowers computing power demands, leading to cost and energy savings, while improving real-time responsiveness for safer and faster motion planning. The software’s distributed architecture simplifies its integration into a range of vehicle models and helps with meeting regulatory standards. Additionally, the system is designed to be compatible with evolving hardware technologies, allowing for broader application at various price points.

Imagry’s software package is modular and easy to integrate, intended for use by Tier-1 suppliers, OEMs, and public transit systems. The solution allows for smooth transitions between different hardware platforms, keeping pace with developments in the autonomous driving sector. Dr. Ilan Shaviv, Imagry’s Chief Technology Officer, noted, “At Imagry, we’re driven by the challenge to make autonomous driving solutions both affordable and scalable. This upgrade not only improves performance but also broadens the applications of our technology to software-defined vehicles as well as public transportation systems.”

Imagry’s approach eliminates the need for pre-mapped road data, instead using real-time, vision-based perception powered by imitation-learning AI. This helps reduce costs through the use of low-cost sensors, simplifies deployment, and offers scalability for both passenger vehicles and autonomous buses. These updates bring the technology closer to practical, cost-effective implementation, supporting safer, more efficient mobility solutions.
