In December NIO launched the latest ET5 mid-size sedan which is touted as a serious challenger to the Tesla Model 3. In its launch, the NIO ET5 is scheduled to be delivered to their consumers in China in September 2022.
NIO CEO William Li recently revealed that the Nio ET5 will arrive in Europe and some overseas markets in the spring of 2023.
As usual, Norway became the first country in Europe to receive the first delivery of NIO ET5. Previously Norway also became the first country in Europe to have a NIO battery swap station.

Nio has been active in the Norwegian market since last year when it started selling the ES8 electric vehicle. The NIO ET7 model itself will arrive in Norway in the fourth quarter of 2022.
When it was introduced last December, the Nio ET5 was praised for having a range of more than 1,000 kilometers, at least by Chinese testing standards.
The ET5 is the second sedan after the ET7 and the fifth production model NIO has released so far.
