Rivian’s R1S electric SUV is now available for rent in the United Kingdom through rental firm EVision, marking the company’s growing presence overseas despite its vehicles not being sold in Europe.

While Rivian’s website states that it only accepts reservations in the United States and Canada, the R1S is making its way onto the streets of the UK.

EVision announced, “The Rivian R1S has arrived at EVision,” emphasizing that the electric SUV can be rented for durations ranging from one day to three years. The rental cost for the R1S is approximately $1,300 (£990) per day, which includes VAT.

For those looking to rent for longer periods, prices are set at around $4,200 (£3,114) for a week, with monthly rates starting at £5,994 ($8,000) for one month, £5,274 ($7,000) for one year, £5,034 ($6,750) for two years, and £4,794 ($6,500) for three years.

The R1S is designed as an electric adventure vehicle, featuring a range of up to 400 miles and seating for seven passengers. It boasts impressive off-road capabilities, including the ability to traverse through 3 feet of water and tackle various terrains.

For those interested in renting the R1S, EVision’s website provides further details. The rental firm also offers Rivian’s R1T electric truck at a slightly lower daily rate of $1,280 (£954). As the UK’s first and largest pure electric vehicle rental company, EVision also features a range of popular electric vehicles, including models from Tesla, Porsche, Kia, and Volkswagen.

Although Rivian’s current R1S and R1T models are not available for purchase in Europe, the company has announced plans for its next-generation R2 model to launch in the region. Deliveries for the R2 are expected to begin in the United States in early 2026, with anticipated starting prices around $45,000.
