Stellantis announced plans to extend its e-Routes app to all brands under its umbrella in the United States by this summer, following its initial launch on Citroen cars last October and subsequent rollout to other Stellantis EVs.
The e-Routes app, available for both iPhone and Android users, serves as a substitute navigation system for Stellantis EV owners who opted out of the built-in navigation package. It integrates with CarPlay and Android Auto, enabling users to plan trips on their smartphones while leveraging real-time vehicle data such as battery charge level, capacity, and ambient temperature.
According to Stellantis, the app provides detailed recommendations on optimal charging stations along routes, tailored to each vehicle’s specifications. It includes features like speed camera alerts, voice instructions, and dynamic updates based on real-time traffic conditions and driving speed.
“For each journey, users receive live availability updates for charging station plugs and access to nearby amenities such as restaurants, bars, and hotels,” Stellantis said in a statement. The app also estimates charging costs depending on the charging network used.
Initially included in the Connect Plus optional package for Stellantis brands, e-Routes will also be available as a standalone service for customers who purchased their vehicles before July 3, 2023. The Connect Plus package includes a trial period, after which it converts to a subscription service priced at âŹ40 per year or âŹ4 per month.
