UK-based Swarco Smart Charging, a leading provider of charging infrastructure, has announced the formal rebranding of its systems and service business to Evolt Charging. Despite the rebranding, Evolt Charging will remain a part of Swarco Smart Charging legally.
The company’s team will continue to support local authorities and Charge Point Operator customers in launching, operating, and expanding their charging networks. Evolt Charging will also serve fleet operators, as well as the eBus and eTruck sectors, aiding in the transition to fleet electrification. Additionally, the company will assist businesses in adding charging capacities to their workplaces.
Evolt Charging, now headquartered in Hertfordshire, boasts over 180 staff members and operates across the UK. The rebranding sees the company offering a full, end-to-end infrastructure delivery model. This model includes design, connection, installation, multi-award-winning customer service capabilities, software solutions, and nationwide service and maintenance teams.
Anne Buckingham, Managing Director of Evolt Charging, commented on the rebranding, stating: “When the ‘eVolt’ brand first appeared on EV charging stations in 2010, it was one of the true pioneers in the industry. It started with eVolt, grew and matured as SSC, and now the time is right to rebrand to reflect the success and expertise of our people.” Buckingham emphasized that the rebranding aims to give the infrastructure and services proposition its own distinctive visual identity and tone of voice while staying true to the business’s foundations and values.
