Vinfast is ready to introduce Semi-Autonomous Level 2+ in their electric vehicles

Vinfast, continues to develop driver assistance technology (drive assist). Recently, Vinfast said it was ready to make vehicles with semi-autonomous level 2+ technology, the result of collaboration with ZF.

Vinfast confirmed that ZF will supply several technologies, from cameras, radars, to LIDAR sensors. The system will allow VinFast and ZF to achieve level 2+ autonomy, with the development of advanced features such as Traffic Jam Pilot, Highway Driving Chauffeur and Automated Valet Parking.

“The future is electric (vehicles) and automated (driving technology). We seek to help protect our environment while providing transportation that improves safety, comfort and efficiency. We will work together to achieve this vision for VinFast customers as we expand our sales in around the world,” said VinFast Global Chief Executive Le Thi Thu Thuy.

VinFast has developed its automated driving system with ZF in China, Germany and in North America and is expected to launch it in mid-2022. The ZF Automated Valet Parking System will be easier to operate as it will rely solely on vehicle sensors and does not require a mapped and instrumented parking structure to operate.
