The Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 both use the same platform, namely the E-GMP platform. The question is what is the difference between the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6?
Recently Rory Reid of AutoTrader made a video showing what sets the two models apart from the Korean manufacturer.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 and KIA EV6 are not the first electric vehicles from Hyundai and Kia. Two Korean manufacturers are serious challengers to compete with Tesla models.

Hyundai with the Ioniq 5 has created one of the best EVs. for sale. But according to Reid, the Kia EV6 could be better than the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
It should be noted that this is not an apples-to-apples comparison between the KIA EV6 and the Hyundai Ioniq 5. This is because the Ioniq 5 model tested is an entry-level model with a 170 hp electric motor and a 58 kWh battery pack. While the KIA EV6 model tested is the GT-Line model and has a larger 77.4 kWh battery pack. This makes the KIA EV6 tested which means it has a range of almost 100 miles further than the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
From the interior, the Ioniq 5 unlike other Hyundai models, has innovative features such as a sliding center console and glove image, rather than the usual glove box.

In Rory Reid’s notes, the EV6’s cabin feels a little more premium than the Hyundai Ioniq 5, albeit a bit more conventional. Rory Reid says the second row is slightly more spacious than the Ioniq 5, even though the EV6 has a shorter wheelbase.
When driven Rory Reid noted that the two provide a very similar and identical driving experience. However, he said that the seats of the KIA EV6 appear softer than the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
