Wuling KiWi EV Specifications
Battery
The main change from the E300 model to KiWi is that the larger battery in the previous model was only available in the most expensive variant of the E300 Plus, now it has become standard on all KiWi variants. The effect is greater mileage.
In addition, another improvement is the DC-Fast Charging feature which can charge the battery from 0 to 100% in less than 2 hours, and 30-80% in just 1 hour.
The battery is embedded in the KiWi EV with a capacity of 31.9 kWh. The lithium iron phosphate battery is claimed to be able to support a mileage of up to 305 km based on NEDC testing.
Electric motor
The KiWi EV is equipped with an electric motor on the rear axle that produces 54 HP (40 kW) and peak torque of up to 150 Nm, which is sent to the rear drive wheels by a single speed transmission.
Feature
Wuling KiWi EV adopts the latest Baojun Telematics System 2.0 which can perform various intelligent functions, including voice interaction system with Artificial Intelligent (AI), real-time navigation on the road, WeChat function with voice control, intelligent management by mobile application.
This car also already has a connectivity system with a smartphone application, so its condition can be monitored via gadgets. For example, the condition of the battery, the distance that may still be covered, the required charging time, and so on.
The unique feature of this Wuling KiWi EV is the build-in 220V Power Supply that allows the car battery to function as a power bank. So that the electricity can be used for electronic equipment such as electric stoves and lights when camping, TV and others.
Dimension
This electric car with the GSEV modular platform has compact dimensions, but is not too small. It is 2.89 meters long, 1.65 meters wide, 1.59 meters high and has a wheelbase of 2.01 meters.
This dimension is almost close to the size of a small city car LCGC such as the Toyota Agya or the first generation Honda Brio. Unfortunately he’s shorter and narrower, so he doesn’t have luggage if all the seats are up.
Interiors
The most luxurious small EV cabin from Wuling is designed with a modern minimalist design. The four seats are designed with a thin posture, but with a semi-bucket model to accommodate the passenger’s body comfortably.
On the KiWi EV, the seats are made of synthetic leather which looks luxurious. There is no center console considering its narrow dimensions. The cockpit also looks minimalist with a centralized arrangement in front of the driver.
The presence of the upper console attached to the windshield indicates that this car may have a variant with ADAS features, because that part is generally where a sophisticated camera is equipped with radar.
