Hyundai Announces U.S. Pricing for 2024 Kona Electric Lineup, Starting at $32,675

Hyundai has disclosed the U.S. pricing details for its 2024 Kona Electric lineup, starting at $32,675 for the entry-level SE model. The SE boasts a redesigned exterior with LED lighting and 17-inch alloy wheels, along with increased dimensions contributing to additional rear seat legroom. Inside, it features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment system with GPS navigation, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Despite being an entry-level offering, the Kona Electric SE includes various driver assistance features such as Highway Driving Assist, navigation-based Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance-Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, High Beam Assist, Lane Following Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Safe Exit Warning, and Rear Occupant Alert.

The SE model is powered by a 48.6 kWh battery pack, delivering 133 hp and 188 lb-ft of torque. Its range reaches 200 miles, and recharging from 10-80% takes around 43 minutes with a 100 kW DC fast charger.

Moving up the lineup, the mid-level Kona Electric SEL is priced at $36,675, featuring enhancements such as roof rails, privacy glass, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The SEL model introduces a more potent powertrain with a 64.8 kWh battery pack, providing a range of 261 miles. The electric motor produces 201 hp and 188 lb-ft of torque, increasing the top speed to 107 mph.

At the top of the range, the Kona Electric Limited, priced at $41,045, showcases distinctive exterior elements, including a “Seamless Horizon” light, satin chrome trim, a sunroof, and a hands-free power liftgate. Inside, the Limited offers H-Tex leatherette upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, soft-touch accents, ambient lighting, a heated steering wheel, and an eight-speaker Bose audio system. Advanced features include Blind-Spot View Monitor, Surround View Monitor, Remote Smart Parking Assist, Parking Distance Warning, and Parking Collision Avoidance Assist – Reverse.
