Chinese electric vehicle (EV) startup, Leapmotor, has shown noteworthy growth in its recent delivery figures, particularly in September, reinforcing its positive performance throughout the third quarter.
As per the company’s official data, Leapmotor achieved a significant milestone by delivering 15,800 vehicles in September. This represented a notable 43.13 percent year-on-year increase and a substantial 11.35 percent uptick compared to the previous month, August.
Zooming out to the third quarter, Leapmotor reported a commendable total of 44,325 vehicle deliveries, showcasing a robust 24.48 percent year-on-year growth and a substantial 30.39 percent surge from the second quarter.
Year-to-date figures show that Leapmotor has delivered a total of 88,827 vehicles, marking a solid 1.4 percent increase compared to the same period last year when it had delivered 87,602 vehicles.
Leapmotor boasts a diverse range of models, including the compact EV T03, the stylish coupe model S01, the flagship SUV C11, and the flagship sedan C01. Previously, the company’s sales were primarily driven by the affordable EV T03. However, recent strategic expansion efforts have been focused on introducing extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) models, diversifying their product portfolio and expanding their market presence.
Founder Zhu Jiangming, while announcing the third-quarter results on November 14, 2022, emphasized the company’s commitment to adaptability and sustainability. He highlighted that all of Leapmotor’s models on the C platform, along with future platforms, will offer both Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and EREV versions.
