Fisker has marked a significant achievement by completing the production of its 5,000th Ocean electric SUV. This milestone was reached at the Magna Steyr plant in Graz, Austria, where production commenced in November 2022.

This production surge represents a substantial increase from the 3,123 customer vehicles assembled at Magna’s facility during the week of September 4. Impressively, nearly 2,000 Fisker Oceans have rolled off the production line in just the last three weeks.

In response to growing demand for their electric SUV, Fisker has set ambitious targets for customer deliveries. The company aims to reach a remarkable 300 vehicle deliveries per day later this year.

Expressing gratitude to their loyal customer base, Chairman and CEO Henrik Fisker stated, “We want to thank our customers for their patience as we have refined our delivery processes. As we complete the third quarter and move into the fourth, we are preparing to significantly increase our pace of deliveries in the US and Europe. We are expanding both our teams and our physical locations, and we are targeting deliveries of 300 vehicles per day to meet strong demand for the Fisker Ocean. I’m tremendously pleased that our company has geared up to achieve these milestones.”

Delivering 300 vehicles daily is an ambitious endeavor, especially for an electric vehicle startup like Fisker, which has, to date, delivered a total of 900 customer vehicles across its European and US launch markets. However, the company is optimistic about achieving this goal and expects to deliver “several hundred more” in the upcoming week.

Earlier this month, Fisker revealed its intention to increase production to 300 units per day in the fourth quarter, up from the current daily output of approximately 180 units.

Fisker’s flagship model, the Ocean Extreme, is currently being delivered to customers in Europe. Priced from $68,999 in the US and 69,950 euros in Germany (excluding shipping), the Ocean Extreme features a robust 113-kilowatt-hour Hyper Range battery pack (106 kWh usable) powering a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain, producing 468 horsepower (564 hp with boost).

The Ocean Extreme boasts an impressive EPA range of 360 miles and a WLTP range of 440 miles, all based on standard 20-inch wheels and tires, making it the longest-range electric SUV available in the European market.

In addition to the range-topping Extreme trim, the Fisker Ocean is offered in mid-range Ultra (dual-motor all-wheel drive) and entry-level Sport (single-motor rear-wheel drive) trims. The Ocean Ultra, with a range of 340 miles, is priced at $49,999, while the Ocean Sport, offering a 250-mile range, starts at $37,499 in the US.

With these significant production milestones and ambitious delivery targets, Fisker continues to make strides in the competitive electric vehicle landscape. The company’s focus on range, affordability, and production efficiency positions it as a formidable player in the EV market. As the journey unfolds, electric vehicle enthusiasts eagerly anticipate Fisker’s future developments.
